Organize an indoor or outdoor parade. Help the children make paper hats. Then have them select different musical instruments. Encourage them to play their instruments as they march.
The children will enjoy themselves as they work on their balance and coordination as they learn to appreciate different kinds of music. They will enjoy working with their hands as they make their hats. They will have the opportunity to work with other children and adults.

Set up an outdoor obstacle course. Ask them to climb through a hula-hoop, walk backwards on the sidewalk, and stretch up to touch a high flag. Encourage them to complete the course as quickly as they can.
Moving around in a variety of ways will help the children build their gross motor skills as they are also working on their balance. They will build their self-esteem, learn to work with one another, and use their imaginations.

Teach the children to play freeze dance. Explain that when they hear the music, they should dance. When the music stops, they freeze. Allow the children to pick the dance music and to sing along to their favorite songs.
This activity will help the children with their listening skills as they learn to coordinate their large and small muscle groups. They are also learning about themselves and how to regulate their actions.
