As you feed the babies their bottles, look into their faces and sing simple songs, such as Hush Little Baby and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
Singing simple songs will help the babies learn to listen and express themselves, as well as to calm themselves and begin to become familiar with certain adults.

Place a baby in a bouncy seat or propped up on a baby pillow to feed her. Allow her to focus on your face and facial expressions. As she feeds, smile and talk or sing in a quiet voice. As you speak, use sign language, such as “yummy” or “more.”
This activity will help the babies build a strong foundation for their oral language development. They will learn to express and calm themselves as they build a strong relationship with you.

Encourage two babies to play together. Sit with them on the floor and call out names of each toy. Play soft, classical music to keep them calm. Enjoy listening to them babble to one another.
Allowing two babies this quality time with one another will teach them to recognize the sounds of language and to build her vocabulary. They will explore different ways to make things happen and how to use their bodies to do so.
